Description: Mei (pronounced May) is a tiny little darling and very smart. She can scratch the door for in and out, will also give a scratch on your pant leg when she wants to be held and will whine when she wants up or down on furniture.
Mei was cherished by one family all her life but sadly they had to relinquish as she needed emergency bladder stone surgery. They loved her very much and took excellent care of her.
Mei is doing great after the surgery and she is on a special diet for life to prevent recurrence of the stones. She is also on prednisone for life because she has weak hind legs. The prednisone works great and she gets around very well. She is best as a house dog with a yard but because of her legs, long walks on a leash are not best for her. Her weight must be kept down so that she doesn't have further difficulty walking.
Mei is good with other dogs but she can take them or leave them she prefers people over dogs. Being an only dog would not bother her.
