Description:
Jeila is an older gal who landed in our hands because her original family of 15 years dropped her at the shelter when they decided she was too old to have around anymore. She is mostly blind, mostly deaf, and needs quite a bit of assistance getting around. Jeila came to us with a terrible ear infection and many, many rotten teeth. Her ear infection has been treated, and most, many, maybe all? of her teeth removed. However, in true Pug style, she eats just fine. Jeila often has bouts of incontinence, simply because she just doesn't know where she is. Even though she is settled in her foster home, she occasionally becomes frightened and suffers from some anxiety. Jeila is not available for adoption, and her foster family is very dedicated to making her life as comfortable and as enjoyable as possible. Jeila has such a loving spirit, and enjoys cuddling her humans as well as the company of her canine foster pack. Jeila is on several medications, and has frequent visits to the vet. We are endlessly grateful that Jeila is being fostered by such a wonderful family, and we're sure she appreciates all the love an care she receives. Our sweet Jeila crossed over the Rainbow Bridge on 6/12/10. Held by her devoted Foster Mom, Susan, Jeila has been absolutely loved and adored in these last nine months that she has been in Pug Rescue's care. Jeila was left at the shelter by her family at the ripe old age of 15, blind, deaf, and in terrible condition. Jeila landed in the perfect foster home, and found a family that truly made her their own. Jeila will be missed, and her paw prints will be difficult to fill. Rest easy, old girl. You are loved. Our hearts go out to her foster family, thank you for being Jeila's Angels.
