Description: Update 10/23/10 - Well, the story continues. In a bizarre twist, poor Lulu and Opie are yet again back with Pug Rescue for the THIRD time this year. We are told that their family is being transferred and no longer wants Lulu and Opie, so they are now back and safe with their foster family. We would really like to find them a true forever home, third time is a charm, perhaps? They are in good health, and are sweet, loving dogs. Lulu is very overweight, and will need a home that will take her for walks and keep her on a diet. Opie does have some issues with marking, but this is very likely caused by the stress of multiple moves. He does slow down once he is comfortable, so a belly band, some training, and a steady environment should help quite a bit. Please consider giving these two dogs a forever home that they can count on. We'd really like to see them have their own Happily Ever After. Contact us to learn how to meet them. Below is their original bio and summer update. Update 7/2/10 - After only 4 months in their new home, Lulu and Opie are coming back to Pug Rescue through no fault of their own. Unfortunately, their parents are divorcing, and dad is getting deployed and mom is unable to keep the dogs, so Lulu and Opie once again find themselves looking for a true forever home. Here is their original bio, please consider giving these two a real forever family - they deserve it. Lulu and Opie came to Pug Rescue from an owner who could no longer care for them. Lulu is a bundle of energy and even though she just had surgery on her nose to make it easier for her to breathe, she is racing around the house non stop and bashing her cone into everything! Opie is a friendly, fun loving guy who likes to wrestle. They both get along well with other dogs and people. Lulu and Opie are both very sweet, love to snuggle, and are full of personality! If Lulu thinks Opie is getting too much attention, she will ram him in the side! But she loves her guy, and doesn't take kindly to other girl dogs paying too much attention to him. Lulu and Opie are doing very well with their potty training and are very good about going outside. We'd like to keep this pair together, as they are very bonded and love each other very much. New Beginning:Halloween was a Happy Day for Lulu and Opie. They were introduced to their new parents and fell immediately in love! Lulu ran right up to her Dad to say hi and Opie jumped right into his mom's lap! Finally, a match made in heaven for these two little Puggies! We will surely be seeing Lulu and Opie at Pug Rescue events, and we look forward to it, but their new family assures us that we won't be seeing them back in rescue again! Yay for Lulu, Opie, and their very lucky new family!
