Description: Meet Gus! Gus is a confident fellow who comes to Pug Rescue from a family who could no longer care for him. Gus is healthy, potty trained and will even let you know he needs to go out by scratching the door! He loves to go for walks and is learning to walk nicely on a leash. He loves having his back scratched and wiggles his little tail like mad, and he is friendly with adults.

Gus is enrolled in an obedience program and is being fostered by a professional trainer. He is learning lots of obedience and how to mind his manners. Gus LOVES food so he's doing great with his training! Gus should not go to a home with small children, but gets along fairly well with most dogs although he does better with bigger dogs or dogs with confident personalities. Gus would not do well with submissive dogs as he likes to bully them a bit. He does seem to be ok with cats and has pretty much ignored the one in his foster home.

Like many Pugs, Gus does not like his feet touched and has some issues with that. Gus does have some baggage and will need to go to a home that will make him follow rules and is willing to commit to keeping up with his obedience training. If you are interested in adding Gus to your family and feel you can provide him with the structure and routine he needs to be a wonderful companion, contact us!

New Beginning: Gus is settling in and is already a beloved member of his new family! His new mom says "I can't imagine how I lived before having Gus. He's just so great." Now, that's what we like to hear! I fostered Gus and did lots of training with him, and I am more than thrilled that he is doing so well in his new home. Congrats Gus!
