Description: Little Harley came to Pug Rescue as an owner relinquishment. She had been left tied up outside with a bigger dog, and was not doing well. We all know that Pugs belong indoors, on couches and fluffy beds, certainly not outside! Harley had such a rough start in life, she came to Pug Rescue and got all fixed up and adopted by a wonderful first time foster family. They are a wonderful family and officially adopted her at the Del Mar adoption event. After such a short time spent with this girl as part of their family, Harley started having seizures and became catatonic, and was unable to walk. All signs point to Pug Encephalitis which in the Pug world is deadly. Harley passed over the Rainbow Bridge the evening of 2/4/2010, surrounded by a family that loved her very much. Our hearts go out to them at the loss of their special girl.
It's always hard to lose a dog, but to lose one so young, at the tender age of two, is especially painful, not only for her family, but for all of us here at Pug Rescue.
Harley is playing with the best of them right now, pain free and waiting for her family to arrive so she can shower them with kisses. |
