Description: This is Buddha! Buddha is a darling little guy who loves everyone he meets!

Buddha loves to sleep with his kitty cat, so a home with cats is ok by him. He also gets along great with kids. He has been outdoors during the day but inside at night. At this point he is not potty trained, but he is such a smart guy it surely won't take long.

Buddha is learning to be crate trained in his foster home, but he will need lots of training to learn to walk on a leash and other basic commands. Buddha loves to play, and gets along great with other dogs.

Update 3/3/10 - Buddha is now off medical hold and available to meet new families! The vets can not find anything wrong with him, even after chest x rays, a heartworm test (negative) and checking his trachea while he was under for his neuter. He does still occasionally cough, more when he is pulling on a leash - whether he is on a collar or harness does not seem to matter. He also coughs when he gets excited. So, he is healthy as far as we know, but he may just be a "cougher" like many other pugs. We are also treating him for bronchitis, so we'll see how those meds work. Please contact us if you are interested in adding this snuggly boy to your family!

New Beginning: After many applicants did not work out for a variety of reasons, Buddha has *finally* found his perfect forever family! Buddha has two kids of his very own, and they will surely all keep each other very busy! He will be living life as a beloved house dog - for a guy that has spent his whole life alone in the back yard, this is quite a move up in the world!

As Buddha's foster mom, I am more than thrilled that things finally worked out for him - this family seems like a great match and I hope they enjoy his silly, sweet personality. Dogs do really end up where they are meant to be, and this is definitely Buddha's dream home - pics soon!
