Description: Meet Pooh Bear! Pooh came to Pug Rescue with his friend Penny, both dogs relinquished by an owner who is yet another victim of the economy and has lost her job and home. Penny and Pooh Bear were in foster care together but Penny has totally decided to cheat on Pooh and now has a new, younger fawn boyfriend. Ahh, fickle women. Darling Pooh Bear is looking for a new family of his very own. He'd love a Pug friend, and a new girlfriend would be just fine with him, he's a very accepting, snuggly sort of fellow. Pooh Bear is doing very well in his foster home, and is a super snuggly, wonderfully laid back guy. He can and should go for several short walks a day, he can go about six blocks with no problem. He really enjoys his daily strolls so he'd love someone who would like to take short, leisurely walks with him a few times a day. If it is too hot for little Puggies to be walking, Pooh Bear still likes to go out in his stroller, so he can see the sights and check in on neighborhood happenings. Pooh Bear is accustomed to lots of company, and would do best in a family with someone who is home much of the time as he does not like to be alone. His foster mom works from home, so is there most of the time to keep him company.Pooh Bear does have some arthritis, but his daily walks, combined with some good lounge time in the sun, and swimming, help keep him pain free. Yes, swimming! Pooh Bear has learned to swim at his foster home, and enjoys getting in the pool and paddling back and forth between his foster parents. It's a great way to keep his muscles strong and limber, and he really enjoys it! What a lucky Pug! Pooh Bear gets along well with children, and enjoys being cuddled and held. He actually likes to be held upside down like a baby and having his tummy rubbed! He will fall asleep in your arms, how sweet is that? Pooh Bear is also very well potty trained, and will come in a doggie door, but prefers to have the big door opened for him to go out. He can walk up three or four stairs on his own, but needs help going down stairs, as he loses his balance. Pooh Bear is a great eater, and enjoys cooked veggies in his foster home. He takes treats very gently, like the well mannered boy he is. Pooh Bear is such a wonderful guy, perhaps you have room in your heart for this darling senior gentleman, or you have a lonely lady Pug who'd like a handsome guy to snuggle with, contact us and learn how you can meet Pooh Bear. You will surely fall in love. |
