She came to Pug Rescue from the shelter, and at her vet exam, we learned she suffered from mass cell cancer. This type of cancer is very hard to fight, and for an old lady, it was just too much to ask. She was very loved and adored for the day that she was with Pug Rescue, and she crossed over the Rainbow Bridge in the arms of her loving foster mom, Sandra. It is not an easy thing to take in these senior dogs, only to have to let them go, but we make the decision that is best for them, even if it's hard for us. Bonnie was lucky to have found her way to Pug Rescue, and was able to pass peacefully and gently with people who truly cared around her, rather than in the shelter. Rest easy, little Bonnie, you are in our hearts. We are endlessly grateful to Sandra for loving this little girl so well on her last day.
