She came to Pug Rescue from the Bakersfield shelter, she was found tied to the front gate there one morning, no note, no identification, just abandoned and frightened and confused. Peanut was deaf and blind with dental issues and an upper respiratory infection that could not be corrected with her older age and petite figure. Pug Rescue and her foster families did everything they could for her to make her comfortable in the time she was with them. We don't know much about Peanut's previous life and although she couldn't see or hear she could still sense, and we hope in her last days she sensed that she was greatly cared for.
