Description:
Introducing Guy and Buddy. GUY AND BUDDY DO NOT CURRENTLY BELONG TO PUG RESCUE. THIS IS A COURTESY LISTING. Guy and Buddy are being fostered privately in San Luis Obispo. Pug Rescue did not have the room or the funds to take these two in, so volunteers are working to help them out while we help look for a permanent place for these two old guys. Their story is a sad one, here is what we know. ************************************ "We are 12 years old. The pictures below show us in better times - when we had our Dad. He loved us very much, we were his life, but when he died we were left alone. Our Dad's daughter did not want us and so we stayed in the backyard at Dad's house. We had a doghouse to share and huddled together in the winter and laid in a kiddie pool in the summer. We have been here by ourselves for a year. She drove by every day and gave us water and food, but we missed our Dad. We wanted to be loved. At least we have each other. We are littermates and Dad had us our whole lives. Now our Dad's house is being foreclosed upon and tomorrow we must leave. We were being offered on CraigsList for $10.

A rescue found out about us, and even though all of their senior fosters are full, they found a lady to take us in for a couple weeks until a permanent placement could be found. We are looking forward to being inside and having soft beds and hearing peoples voices. We are ready to feel loving hands pet us like our Dad always did. We are looking forward to being bathed and looked after, getting our aches and pains addressed and more than anything -- we are so looking forward to being loved and loving. Because through this awful and very lonely year we never gave up on people. We never stopped trusting and loving....and we will continue to trust and love as long as our bodies hold out because we're pugs and that's what we do. That's what our Dad taught us." ********************************************************If you think that you can help these two, either by fostering them, adopting them, or even just donating for their care, it would be wonderful. We are heartbroken that we are now in the position that we have to turn Pugs away because we just have too many. Our foster homes are full, and our bank account is nearly empty. Please consider giving Guy and Buddy, or another deserving senior Pug, a forever home in which to rest their paws. *Guy is the one with his tongue hanging out, Buddy has a darker face* If you are interested in adopting or helping these guys out, please contact Lisa at truckmountgirl@gmail.com.

New Beginning: Guy and Buddy have become such an integral part of their foster home that they have decided to make it official! We wish these two gentlemen all the best in their senior years and hope that their family enjoys all the love that seniors have to give. From their foster mom "Seniors are like fine wine, they get better as they age." We think so, too.
