Description:
Say hello to Maddie! This is Maddie's second trip to Pug Rescue, let's make it her last! Maddie was adopted in July of last year, but things just haven't been working out, so it was decided that Maddie would come back to be fostered with one of Pug Rescue's professional trainers. Maddie has done well in training school, and is now crate trained, potty trained, and learning all sorts of manners and social skills. She's still a bit bossy with other dogs and would do best in a home with a more submissive male. Her play style is a bit dominant with other dogs, so she needs a friend who won't be offended by her "police" style. Maddie is a healthy girl, but does have a tiny bit of arthritis in her back leg. It only shows after she's been laying down for a while, so it doesn't slow her down at all! She's still happy to go for lots of walks and lead a very active life. Maddie would also be perfectly content as an only dog, as she'd really love to be the center of attention. She'd like someone who is around a lot, as she gets somewhat stressed when left alone for long periods of time. Maddie can not be in a home with children as she is not safe with them. Care must be taken when taking Maddie out and about that she is not allowed to interact with small children. She is an "adults only" type of girl. Maddie's trainer has offered to do several lessons for no charge for Maddie's new home to ensure that she settles in well and learns the rules of the house. If you think you could provide Maddie with a safe, loving forever home where she won't have to worry about being moved again, please contact us to learn how to meet her.
