Say hello to Miss Rox! She answers to Roxy, and she came to Pug Resce from Ventura, where she was dumped at a rescuer's home. Our vets estimate Rox to be between 6 and 8 years old, but she could be younger and her teeth are just rough from having litter after litter of puppies. If she wasn't cared for properly (very likely), having multiple litters repeatedly can use up all her calcium, and would explain her teeth being in bad condition. We will, of course, have her teeth cleaned and polished to prevent any further health issues. Rox is a sweet, polite, friendly girl, and has been getting along well with everyone she has met, human and dog alike. She's living with 10 other Pugs right now, so that's saying something! She is a bit possessive about food with the other dogs, but that's to be expected. Rox is definitely overweight at 24 lbs, and needs to get down to 17 or 18, so she's on a diet in her foster home and should stay on one in her new home. She seems to be potty trained, and she prefers to spend her time curled at her foster mom's feet. Her foster mom tells us that the pictures don't do Rox justice, and that she is an absolutely gorgeous girl, but doesn't like the camera, so she folds her ears back and drops her tail. Poor girl. You'll just have to meet Rox in person so you can see how fabulous she really is!
