Description: Meet sweet Daisy Mae! Daisy Mae comes to Pug Rescue from the shelter in El Cajon. She is about 4 years old, and cute as can be! We are guessing that Daisy's life has not been that great up to now, and we hope that we can help her have a wonderful future! Daisy is fine with other dogs, but still a bit too worried about life to play with them yet. She gets along with her foster sister, but mostly just follows her around the dog park, she hasn't tried to play with the other dogs yet. She is surely still adjusting to all the changes in her life. Daisy Mae is fine with kids and cats. She does not like to ride in cars, and becomes very stressed when on car rides. Daisy Mae is comfortable in a crate, and is working on her leash training and potty training skills in her foster home. From her behavior, we believe that Daisy has been an outside dog, so she is learning the rules in her foster home and will need a home that is willing to continue working with her and training her. We have also noticed that Daisy becomes very stressed when left alone, so she will need a home that is willing to work with those issues also. Daisy has an appointment to have her teeth cleaned at the vet on January 25th, so that will be done before she goes to her new home.
Daisy is a darling little girl though, friendly and sweet. If you are interested in meeting this little cutie, contact us to learn how to meet her. Update 1/21/11 - Daisy's foster mom reports that Daisy is doing very well with her leash and potty training, and now has gone several days with no accidents in the house! She is starting to play with her foster sister, and is more excited to go to the dog park. This little girl is coming out of her shell and what a gem she is! She still gets worried when left alone, so she would do best with a family that is home much of the time. |
