Say hello to little Izzy! (Doe is her name at the vet) This tiny girl comes to Pug Rescue from the shelter in Bonita, and she came to us demodex mange, which is why her coat is so thin. Izzy's coat is already growing back in, and she's looking wonderful. Izzy is a little bitty girl, and loves to wear clothes and dress up. She'll be a perfect little diva for someone looking for a girl to spoil! She is currently in a wonderful foster home, where she is being treated for her demodex and already feeling much better! We suspect that Izzy may have been a breeder dog, and that she spent much of her life outside, as she has calluses on her feet and elbows from laying on hard surfaces. She is a very well behaved girl though and has fantastic house manners. Izzy has been left alone loose in her foster home, and she's been very well behaved, hasn't touched anything that's not hers! She's also doing great with potty training, and happily sleeps in her dog bed at night, though we're sure you could talk her into sleeping in bed if you wanted her to! Izzy gets along well with her Pug foster sister, and loves all the people she meets. She loves to give kisses and is so grateful for any attention. She's very happy, active and sweet and her foster mom says that Izzy seems to be a very trainable girl. Izzy loves to go for walks and would do best in a home where there are lots of activities to keep her busy! Although she does know how to appreciate a good nap, this girl is no lazy couch potato! And yes, her teeth do stick out like that most of the time. Isn't it adorable? Update 6/6/11 - Sweet Izzy has been in foster care with one of Pug Rescue's volunteer trainers and she is now ready to start meeting new families. She has learned LOTS of skills, and will need a home dedicated to maintaining her training. Perhaps you are ready to add this sweetie to your life? | New Beginning: Sweet Izzy has found her forever family and is absolutely adored! Many thanks to her foster mom for all the time and training she did to help make Izzy a wonderful family member! We know her new family appreciates it and loves Izzy so much! |
