Special needs: Chloe and Cole have many special needs, but are a loving pai |
Description: Let us introduce you to Chloe and Cole. Chloe and Cole were abandoned at the shelter in Bonita over the Christmas holiday. Pug Rescue was able to get them out the beginning of January, and lucky for them, they have found themselves a wonderful foster mom who is taking spectacular care of them. We think these two are littermates, they certainly have been together for many years and absolutely adore each other. They spend lots of time cuddling, and when they are apart, even for a few moments - they greet each other with lots of kisses when they see each other again. Chloe is the tiny fawn girl, she's only about 12 pounds, and she in pretty good health for a girl her age. Chloe does have some cataracts, but she seems to see fairly well and gets around with no problem. Her hearing not the greatest either, but she can hear most stuff. Chloe's foster mom says that Chloe can be a bit of a scatter brain at times, but she is so sweet and loving, that it doesn't matter! Cole is a big black boy, tipping the scales at almost 30 pounds - twice the size of his little sister! Cole has more medical problems than Chloe; he is incontinent, has occasional small seizures, doesn't see very well, and has an neurological problem which affects his back legs, making it impossible for him to walk normally. Cole's chest is very well developed, because he supports most of his weight on his front end and sort of drags his back end. He is still a bright, happy boy, though, a true testament to his spirit and joy for life. These two lovely seniors do require a lot of care and time, their foster mom is very dedicated and has a friend come stay with them when she has to work. Chloe and Cole get along famously with their foster sister, Roxie, as well as their feline friends. If you think you could provide a loving, permanent home to these two, contact us to learn how to meet them. If you can not adopt Chloe and Cole, consider making a donation on their behalf so that Pug Rescue can continue to provide for their medical care and they can continue to stay in their wonderful foster home. We all thank you!. 02/01/12 UPDATE: Because of Chloe and Cole's advanced age and medical issues, they will remain in a foster home as a Forever Foster for the rest of their days. Please consider donating in Chloe and Cole's name so that Pug Rescue can continue to provide for their medical needs, as well as those of our other seniors who depend on us.
02/04/12 UPDATE: Sweet Chloe has crossed over to the Rainbow Bridge. Pug Rescue thanks her foster mom who gave Chloe much love and kindness in her final year of life. |
