Description:
Say hello to Hoss! Hoss is a sweet and gentle old man that came to Pug Rescue from a shelter. This beautiful gray-faced senior was terrified in the shelter and had shut down emotionally by the time we found him. He was hunched up in a trembling ball, being attacked by the other dogs in his kennel. No matter how much they tormented and abused him, Hoss never snapped or growled or did anything to defend himself. Thankfully, we were able to save him from this heartbreaking situation. Hoss is very a quiet and loving pug. He is submissive and non-confrontational with other dogs. In fact, he is friendly with all dogs, cats, and people he meets. His favorite thing in the entire world is to get pet and loved by his foster family! Hoss has a gorgeous wrinkly face and big, round head with a tightly curled tail. He is completely blind and walks quite deliberately, careful to not bump into any obstacles. His foster mom reports that he learned the floor plan of her house quickly and can now navigate with almost no missteps! Because he is blind, it is easier on Hoss if he is carried once in a while. Hoss can walk on a leash, but needs to walk slowly in unfamiliar areas due to his blindness. He is fully potty trained and knows how to use a doggy door. Hoss occasionally exhibits a mild limp on his front paw which is probably arthritis, but it is nothing severe or anything that keeps him down. Hoss does not bark, chew, dig, or have any destructive habits. He is just a good, sweet, loving dog who needs a special family to love him. Hoss has had a rough lot in life and is ready to for the forever home that he deserves! Please contact us if you have room in your home and heart for Hoss.

New Beginning: Hoss has finally found the happiness he deserves! He has won over his foster family and has decided to stay with them forever. Congratulations, Hoss!
