Description:
After a consult with our vet, we've determined that Abbey is likely younger than we thought, and closer to 8, as she's in great health and has got plenty of energy to go, go, go! Abbey is a happy, silly little girl, and her foster mom describes her as "a little clown". So if you're looking for an entertaining, tiny companion, Abbey might just be your girl!

Abbey is always on the move, checking to see what's going on with everyone in the house, people and dogs alike. She is a tiny girl at only 14 lbs, but she has a mighty personality! She's an early riser, so be ready to get up and go with this girl in the house. She loves to give kisses, and because she has very few teeth, her tongue does hang out of her mouth all the time, but she doesn't mind. She gets very excited about eating (who doesn't?) and spins around the kitchen bouncing off the cupboards. Abbey likes to go for walks, and does fairly well on leash, although she does pull a little because she is so excited to be out and about greeting the world.

Abbey is very healthy, and only sometimes gets a little sneezy in the mornings and gets and antihistamine which takes care of it quickly. She does need to have her face wrinkle cleaned daily, as it has a tendency to get dirty. Abbey is housebroken and uses the doggie door all by herself. Abbey likes other dogs, but isn't really interested in playing with them. She does like having a pack to boss around though. She likes to lay on the couch and watch TV, but will lay next to you instead of on you. Abbey is very well behaved when out and about, a quieter version of herself.

Abbey would make a great addition to almost any home, but would do best with a family that can appreciate her sense of humor. Maybe this little clown will fit in well with your circus?

New Beginning: Jane, Abbey's new mom says "Abbey is a love. She is doing so well adapting to our home and our other animals. She slept on the bed last night and woke me at 5:30 to eat and go to the bathroom. I took her back to bed and she showered me with wet kisses. The whole adoption process went so well compared to other I have used. I took her around children today and she was happy as can be and very gentle. Thank you so much, Jane"
