Say hello to Bertha! Bertha is very new to Pug Rescue, so we are still getting to know her. She comes to Pug Rescue from the shelter, so her age is estimated, we will have our vets confirm when she goes in to be spayed. Bertha is 8 years old, but don’t let numbers fool you. This little girl is young at heart, spunky, and choc-full of energy! She currently enjoys playing with the other dogs in her foster home. Bertha is also quite the love bug; she just adores cuddling with her foster mom! Bertha came to us from a shelter. Because of this, she is suffering from both kennel cough and an ear infection. Both ailments are very common to shelter dogs and clear up with proper care, which Bertha is now receiving from her wonderful foster mom! Bertha is also working very hard on her potty training. She is responding well but may need additional practice in her new home. Bertha’s hind legs also seem to bother her a little; we will be able to learn more about this at her next vet appointment. Bertha has quickly won over the hearts of those who have been lucky to meet her. Her foster mom reports that “she is really an amazing dog.” We will continue to post information as we get to know Bertha a little better.
