Description: Say hello to Sammy Sue! Sammy comes to Pug Rescue from a family that has had her all her life and loves her very much. Sadly, their two year old human baby has developed severe allergies to Sammy, and their doctor recommended that Sammy move to another home. Her family misses her very much, and hope that she is adopted by someone who will adore her as they did. Sammy loves to play with her foster pug siblings, but she would also be great as an only dog with a family who was around to give her attention. She is calm in the house, and will sit by your side or on you lap. Sammy also is quite fond of small children, so she would love to be part of a family. Sammy also loves to go outside, lie in the sun and run around and play with other dogs, and especially likes to play tug of was with stuffed toys. She is agile, as she jumps easily up on beds (her preferred place to sleep is with a human, but she also will sleep in a dog bed.) Sammy is not particularly food motivated, and her family used to free feed her. However, with a house full of pugs Sammy's fosters cannot do that, so Sammy is learning to eat twice a day and is slowly adapting to her new feeding
schedule. She likes carrots and tiny pieces of cheese, and sits nicely for treats. Sammy could use some work on her leash skills, but she is potty trained and has not had any accidents in her foster home. Sammy is a darling girl, and will surely make a wonderful, loving addition to any family. Contact us if she is just the girl you've been dreaming of! |
