Afu is a wonderful "Strollin' Senior"! He comes to us after his original owner passed away, and friends could no longer care for him. Afu is a sweet old man who just wants to hang out with someone and give lots of pug love. Afu is housebroken, as long as someone notices that he is asking to go out and opens the door for him. He has some weakness in his rear legs and can not jump onto furniture and doesn't manage stairs well. Ideally, he would like a forever home without stairs or with a Pug Parent who doesn't mind carrying him. Other than that, he is very healthy and has a lovely plush coat. Afu gets along well with other dogs and loves to play outside. Afu is on a diet in his foster home, and has already lost a pound and needs to lose about three more. He is a shorter pug, and with more of a cobby body. He's already quite handsome, but will look and feel so much better once he has lost some weight.Update 3/25/10 - Due to the weakness in his rear legs, Afu now has fecal incontinence. He can still hold his bladder, but poor old guy just has no idea when he is pooping so Afu will need a family that doesn't mind cleaning up after him.
Afu is a wonderful senior guy and will fit well into just about any home. Won't you consider giving this beloved boy a forever home where he can enjoy his golden years?
UPDATE: 02/01/12-
Because of Afu's advanced age and medical issues, he will remain in his foster home as a Forever Foster for the rest of his days. Please consider donating in Afu's name so that Pug Rescue can continue to provide for his medical needs, as well as those of our other seniors who depend on us. |
