Description: Meet Bear Dog who comes to Pug Rescue from an family who lost their home. Bear was adopted by his previous family in 2004 from Pug Angels Rescue. We were told that Bear is 14 years old but we suspect he may be younger. He is very healthy and does not have any of the typical senior health issues. You will enjoy snuggling with Bear as he has a beautiful, lush, thick coat. Bear came to us from the Palm Springs area so he is enjoying our milder climate. He loves to go for walks in the neighborhood and hang out in the backyard with the kids. Bear is potty trained and will go outside on his own if the door is left open for him. He is a very easy going sort of guy! Bear will be getting a dental to freshen his breath and clean his teeth. He also has a pea size growth on his eyelid which may be need to be removed. Bear has been a "free feeder" and is slightly overweight, although he is a big bundle of love. Bear was loved tremendously by his former family and enjoyed a high quality dog food and a wonderful home life. Bear is looking for a forever home where he will continue to be given all the TLC he deserves! Please contact us to meet Bear Dog. Bear Dog passed over to the Rainbow Bridge on 7/28/11 after being with Pug Rescue for just a short time. Our wonderful vet found a cancerous tumor in Bear's mouth. His body was also riddled with mass cell tumors. With sadness, the decision was made to let him pass over to the place where all pugs run and play free of pain and disease. Bear's foster family has fond memories of him romping in the bed with glee. You were loved Bear Dog. |
