Description: Introducing a lovely senior, Gladys Anne. Gladys was found as a stray in the streets of North County. She was pulled from the shelter as she was scheduled for euthanasia. Gladys must have been wandering for some time as she is emaciated. Her rib cage and ribs protrude from her large frame. We can only imagine how terrified this proud girl must have been as she roamed the streets alone. Gladys is completely deaf and can see some shadows with one eye. She initially ran into walls and objects until she was able to get to know her surroundings in her foster home. Gladys Anne is a gentle lady and is very well mannered. She waits patiently for her turn for affection and enjoys the company of her pug foster siblings. The other pugs have been helpful in leading her outside to go potty. She is true pug in that she can readily find the food despite her vision loss. Gladys is now getting much needed veterinary care. She will have her dental if she is deemed medically stable. We are working to help her gain weight. Due to her medical condition Gladys Anne will likely remain in long term foster care. We wanted to give everyone an opportunity to meet this very special senior. Gladys Anne thanks everyone who supported Pug Rescue in 2011.
6/23/12 update : She seems to be very happy and free of any aches/pains. |
