Description: This is Boris. Boris was adopted as a puppy by his former family for their teenager unfortunetly he did not get the attention he deserved and they felt he would be much happier in a home where he would not have to spend so much time alone. He is very friendly and thinks everyone is his best friend, a true lover. Boris was raised with a declawed cat and tends to paw at other dogs, which really seems to confuse them.
Boris recently suffered a torn cruciate ligament in his right leg while running around the house. He will be on crate rest in hopes that the ligament will heal with anti-inflammatory medication. He is doing so much better now though! he is healing on his own and no surgery is currently needed. We are hoping he will recover without having to go through surgery. Fortunately, Boris has been crate trained and will even go into his crate at night on his own when he is ready for bed.
Boris will not go potty in the house unless he is left alone. His former family tells us that he spent a lot of time confined alone in a bathroom and he thinks that any clothes left on the floor are his potty area. Boris will continue his potty training in his foster home when his leg has healed.
Boris loves to be held and having his ear whispered into. He can sit, shake, roll over and speak. What a smart boy! Contact us if you would like to meet Boris. |
