Meet Esmerelda, while everyone loves to see the adorable puppies brought into PRSDC we have to face the reality of rescue and introduce you to sweet "old" lady Esmerelda.
After her first initial wellness check initially Esmerelda was going to be put down. Brought in as a pair with another 15 year old dog, they were not in great shape. However we decided to give her some time to experience actual life with quality care, an amazing foster parent, and love and appreciation.
With a bit of meds and care on board Esmerelda has been wobbling out exploring her new home. She is now eating and seeming to feel better. Although she cannot see nor hear and has horrid teeth, nuero issues, potty issues, and ears Esmerelda's foster feels that if we give her nothing else but lots of lovin and nurturing for a short time it will be more than she has experienced in her lifetime. This is more a view of rescue than any mission statement.
She does not seem to be in any pain and is already showing signs of improvement.
UPDATE AS OF 6/23 MORE PICTURES ARE POSTED THANKS TO HER FOSTER AND Esmeralda seems to feel a little better each day. She has got the house and yard figured out. |
