Description: Joey
DOB 11/20/03
Adopted 6/11/09
Passed 10/6/11
was the oldest of our 3 pugs that we have adopted from the Pug Rescue of San Diego. We called him "old man Joey", but he was more of a middle child. Joey was a unique pug. He had a crooked tail and his coat color was fawn with black. When we first got Joey he was very scared, had struggled with diarrhea for a year, and he was overweight. Joey slimmed down with walks with my dad and did not have diarrhea anymore. He was such a happy dog with enjoying rides in the car. He even learned how to swim in the pool this summer without the floaty on. He was the best swimmer out of the pugs. He was so graceful and his little crooked tail was like a rudder. He was the best sleeping buddy; he would sleep by your feet and stay there the entire night. Joey gave the best kisses, too. He would run up to you and start licking and nibbling on your ears. It was the best thing ever. My dad enjoyed watching Joey run down the stairs in the morning and hear his unique bark during feeding time. My dad loved giving him special treats along with the other pugs. The pug were my dad's babies and the three of them made the "pug pack". The pack is not complete right now and it does not feel the same. We don't hear his bark, see his wagging tail, hear his feet when he runs down the stairs or see his big smiling face. There isn't another bowl during feeding time, no dog to sleep at your feet, and no swimming partner.
Joey WE MISS YOU VERY MUCH!!!! Your pug brothers (Moses and Frankie) miss you and so does grandma Lucy (Labrador). Joey, I just know you are in heaven right now with God. Don't be afraid little buddy. You will have family and other doggies to play with there. And, when we pass we will be together again and be able to play.
WE LOVE YOU JOEY AND WE WILL NEVER FORGET OUR SMILING PUG WITH A CROOKED TALE. |
