Description:
Busby was relinquished because the family was moving and could not have pets at the new home.

Health wise he is in excellent physical condition. He can jump onto the couch and the comfy chair very easily. His teeth are in excellent condition, especially for a pug. He is very social and loves to be with others, whether they are human or dogs. We don’t know how he is with cats but he doesn’t seem to give the cats that come through our yard, or our tortoise, any mind! He is also great with kids!

Busby does have dry eye and is in need of Optimunne ointment morning and night. I have also observed that one flea will set his skin off and he will become very itchy! Flea repellent products work very well and make him a happy camper!

When he came to us he was allowed to eat whenever he wanted. He now has converted to two meals a day, with treats during the day (especially when you are leaving or returning).

Busby is a very loving and sweet pug. He will cuddle with you and loves to be rubbed and scratched. Be prepared to do a lot of it, he will let you know if you’re not done with him by giving you a friendly pawing on the arm. He does give kisses, doesn't bite but he will pull your hand sometimes when he first sees you. He is a very smart pug and knows how to get what he wants or needs. He has been observed climbing onto the back of the couch and pawing a pillow to knock it over and then plopping down onto it. He also will align the dog dishes when he feels he needs to let you know that it is dinner time! Busby also is housebroken, but if he has no access to the outside and has been left in too long, he has been known to have an accident. We have a dog door and he has used it when necessary. He doesn't tag items in the house but will add his 2-bits if someone leaves a little puddle on the floor. Busby does have a voice and loves to sing with other dogs. He will also let you know that he is happy to see you or will miss you when you leave (like most children will), but he doesn't continue it all day.

Last but not least, he is a senior pug and loves his naps, but he has been known to get a burst of energy around dinner time and will play a little tug of war with a soft toy.

Will you be the lucky family who gets to love Busby forever?
