Description: Meet Leroy! Leroy comes to Pug Rescue from a home that could no longer care for him. He is a sweet guy! Leroy is very active, and was just recently neutered, so he may need some reminders about house training he is currently thriving. Check out the wonderful pictures of Leroy! Leroy gets along great with other dogs, and is friendly to everyone he meets. (He no longer has stitches shown they were from a surgery he has recovered from-however resulting in loss of eyesight) Leroy is a sweet, active fellow - wouldn't you love to add him to your family?
10/19/11- Leroy was adopted in 2010 but was returned to Pug Rescue by his family who was unable to care for his eye condition. He is now getting the medical care which will resolve the eye issue completely. Leroy also has arthritis but the vet informs us that this will improve when Leroy loses weight. He has been a free feeding pug which has resulted in severe weight gain. Leroy would love a family who will commit to helping him walk and watch his diet so he can lose those extra pounds. Leroy has had many homes in his short life and is looking for his special forever family.
UPDATE 12/20/11: Leroy has continued to struggle with his eye condition. Unfortunately, Leroy has lost all vision despite medical efforts. He will need a patient family who would be willing to be his "seeing eye person." Leroy loves to go for daily twenty to thirty minute walks. He walks well although he needs assistance so he doesn't tumble off the curb. Blind pugs often get frightened and started by loud noises. Leroy enjoys spending his afternoon relaxing on the couch and will go out the open door to the backyard to go potty. Leroy has endured tremendous hardship and is ready for his true forever family. Please contact Pug Rescue if you can give Leroy the love and security he deserves. |
