Description:
Introducing Olivia. Olivia comes to Pug Rescue from a shelter in LA. She is just a baby, and is being treated for Demodex mange. It is not contagious to humans, and only contagious to other dogs if they have skin to skin contact with the affected area. It is a skin mite that eats the hair and it is very common in puppies. It is very treatable, and once gone, rarely returns. Olivia will make a full recovery, as she only has one spot below her right eye - see photos below. The rest of Olivia's coat is thick and soft, and the hair that is gone should grow back in no time now that she is being treated. Olivia is all puppy, and loves to play, play, and play some more! She's a sweet girl, and was a bit shy at first in her foster home, no doubt being in the shelter was a very scary experience! She's all settled in now, though and busy starting chase games with the resident dogs! Olivia does not appear to be potty trained, and her foster home will start working on this but she will need continued house training in her new home. As with all puppies, Olivia will need work and training to become a respectable, well mannered canine citizen. If you feel that you have the time to take on a puppy and you'd like to make this sweet little girl part of your family, contact us to learn how to meet her.
