Description:
Tobin was initially brought to the Bonita shelter as an injured "field stray." His left hip was way out of the socket and he was experiencing severe skin issues. Ten days later, after the shelter had given the best treatment possible, Tobin was picked up by Pug Rescue and transported straight to the vet. X-rays and an exam were performed. Femoral head ostectomy (FHO) surgery was schedule for three days later. Tobin has been recuperating in his foster home and is doing great. His injury is resolved and now Tobin is working on strengthening the muscles in his left leg. His leg does not slow him down at all. He is considerably more athletic and spry than most pugs. Tobin is a brave guy and does not let anything hold him back...in fact he herds goats in his foster home. Tobin's skin issues are doing great...his hair has regrown and he is happy with a grain free, no itch diet.

Tobin has some reactivity to large breed dogs(his foster home has great danes). He is absolutely a charmer with other dogs...just feels a bit uncomfortable around giants. Tobin also likes to alert his family to new visitors...he is a bit afraid of strangers in his home...but adjusts almost immediately upon introduction.

Smart boy is crate trained and uses a doggie door with ease. He enjoys going places with his foster family and is simply a pleasure in public places.

Tobin would love to have an active family to take him for rides and to play at parks/beaches. He loves couch time and is content just to be with his people.

Tobin loves everyone (not deaf great Dane puppies) and hopes you will open your heart and home to him.
